Viorica Doina Neacsu It took me four hours to watch this movie. It is so profound and touching... i have no words to express my heart...
When i saw how Chinese Army was behaving with them i cried, remembering that the same tactics were used on us in the schools... and we were just 8-9 years old.... we grew up in fear... few of us was "marked" by those experiences for all their life... i had two colleagues who suicide themselves when we were 14 years old...

Viorica Doina Neacsu (min.44) Lama Khenpo Munsel:

The root of cause and effect is in the mind. And not just now. It is a matter of both self and others. It’s not just a matter of oneself. If you give rise to altruistic mind, it benefits all sentient beings. It’s not just for yourself.

Tong-len = giving and taking . In tong-len, generally , we say that we are sending happiness out to others and taking others’ suffering in. But for actual meaning of tong-len, you have to understand the inseparability of self and other. The ground of our minds is the same. We understand this from the View. ..... When you lessen your suffering you lessen the suffering of all sentient beings of the three realms, all at once.

The “len” of tong-len means “taking”. First, take in this way. “Tong” means “giving”. If you understand your mind’s nature, then you recognize the essence of whatever suffering and afflictive emotions there may be to be emptiness. When suffering does not harm you anymore, the mind has great bliss. If at that time, you meditate, making self and other inseparable, than that bliss can diminish the self-grasping of all sentient beings. It can lessen the self-grasping. The happiness that is being given is the bliss that comes from the practice of giving and taking. This is how you should practice. This is very special. Others don’t explain in this way.

“The most supreme sign of accomplishment is to benefit sentient beings. Think of sentient beings with loving kindness and compassion.”

The most precious of my personal practices of virtue is spinning the prayer wheel and Liberation Upon Seeing. Whoever sees a person holding a prayer wheel will not be reborn in the lower realms.
However many mantras a prayer wheel has inside it, that many mantras go out with every resolution and fills the space.
Understand the mantra to be the deity.
What is the benefit of mantra?
If you say OM MANI PADME HUNG it produces an Avalokiteshvara.
The real meaning of Avalokiteshvara is love.
Like rain falling, however many MANI you recite, are carried on the wind and bring love to the mind streams of sentient beings.
When love enters their mind, self-grasping diminishes.
This practice is the greatest root of virtue.
It produces virtue of body, speech and mind.

    Din Robinson from the video:

Love is the only cause of happiness.
It's nature is all-pervasive like space.
Love is the sunlight of the mind.

    Instructions of Milarepa:
    - When this body dies, my mind has not died. I will continue to remain, pervading the five elements.
    - Apart from giving up self-grasping, there is no other perfection of generosity.
    - Apart from giving up deception, there is no other perfection of morality.
    - Apart from being fearless of ultimate truth, there is no other perfection of patience.
    - Apart from remaining inseparable from practice, there is no other perfection of diligence.
    - Apart from abiding within the natural state, there is no perfection of meditation.
    - Apart from realizing the nature of mind, there is no other perfection of wisdom.

I’m going to sit here praying to Milarepa, meditating on Milarepa and cleaning my mind. Cleaning the mind means that all of us have to destroy our self-grasping. ...See More
